No new story THIS week but we do still have (for one more week only) one of our longer stories from Wyldblood Magazine on the site for free – after next week you’ll have to buy the magazine to read it. So check out Flying Takes Heart by Adrienne Canino at wyldblood.com (or buy the fantabulous Wyldblood 12 for this and other great stories).
A reminder for writers that we’re open to submissions (flash, shorts and novellas) on the 1st February for just a day (and on the first of the month every month after). Shorts should come in at or below 5,000 words and we pay.
Wyldblood 17 is now out with its new, bookshelf friendly format, and is available in print or digitally. Our first novella, Karl Dandenell’s Between the Stars I Found Her is also recently out, and we think you’ll like it. Wyldblood 18 is still a couple of months off but watch out for pre-orders coming soon – and you can always subscribe and get the next four issues as soon as they’re ready. Watch out, too, as we take our first steps into audiobooks (which we’re rather excited by).
Finally, one of our writers has a new novel out and it’s pretty damn snazzy – check out Six, by M. Luke McDonnell. There’ll be a full review in Wyldblood 18 but if you need proof of how good a writer she is, check out Wyldblood 16, which features her short story The Obscurists.
